Machu Picchu is found in Peru's eastern Andes. It is part of the Cusco department. It takes around 3 hours and 30 minutes to reach this city (74 kilometres away) by land.

The Itinerary

The tour begins with a bus transfer from Cusco to Ollantaytambo railway station, where the train to Machu Picchu town will depart. We'll take an ecological bus to the Inca archaeological site from there. You will tour the world's wonders in the company of the tour guide. Then you'll take the same bus, train, or minivan back to Cusco.

Full-day Machu Picchu

What Will I See During the Tour?

Full-day Machu Picchu contains several mysterious and historically significant enclosures. The temples and structures of the Incas, such as the Temple of the Condor, the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Main Temple, and many others, have been beautifully maintained due to their remoteness and natural surroundings.

The physically challenging Salkantay trail features fewer people and more diversified landscapes than the Inca Trail.

Salkantay Trek

On a multi-day hike from Cusco, take the less-travelled route to Machu Picchu. Next, travel to Mollepat by bus and walk along the Salkantay Trail, a quieter alternative to the Inca Trail. Finally, you'll hike in the shadow of snow-capped mountains and through the tropical jungle for the following four days, stopping at ancient archaeological sites along the way.

Sleep in tents beneath the stars at night. Take the train from Llucmabamba to Aguas Calientes. The Lost City of the Incas is yours to explore the next day. Round-trip from Cusco on the 5-day Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu Hike the Salkantay path with an expert guide for four days. At Huayracpampa Lake, sleep beneath the snow-capped Salkantay Mountain. En route to Santa Teresa in the Colcapampa District, pass across gorgeous waterfalls. Finally, climb to Llactapata for views of Machu Picchu and ride the trains to Aguas Calientes from the town of Llucmabamba. A small-group trip with a maximum of 9 participants ensures a unique experience.

Conclusion

Tours can be challenging. They are fantastic when they are terrific, but they can spoil your experience when they aren't. It irritates me much if a tour guide is corny or unauthentic or if the tour is poorly run.
